Barça Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
