The star has handed over the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound honor cash to the Music Venues Trust, which functions to save the Britain's small music venues.

He was given the prize on mid-October as his new release his work was named the best record of the past year.

Fender has decided to donate the funds to the Music Venues Trust, in recognition of the essential function local spots played in his early career.

"I personally couldn't be pursuing this success if it weren't for all the shows I played around the North East, and elsewhere, when I was starting out," said Fender. "These locations are renowned, but they are in difficulty."

From early 2023 onward, over 150 of these venues have ceased operations – approximately 16% of the entire UK sector.

Over the past year, top acts including Pulp, the group Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Sheeran have all backed the MVT in its initiatives to support the industry, by applying a modest fee to their ticket prices, which goes to help local stages.

He also joined in, generating over £100k on his live tour to help 38 grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.

The money assisted locations that were dealing with possible closure due to difficulties caused by water damage, blazes and family tragedies, as well as licensing issues, legal disputes and sound issues.

Other venues obtained monetary aid in upgrading facilities and gear that helped musicians and concertgoers.

"The notion that revenue from shows in big venues supports the smaller venues, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just common sense," Fender has stated.

Additionally 1994 winners the group contributed their award to a MS organization after a friend was found to have the disease.

"Receiving the award was sufficient," remarked singer Small. "The money was the cherry on top but we could do without the bonus, because we had the honor. So our victory impacted the lives of others."

Recently, the MVT shared it had saved a couple of small stages in that region, by transferring them to local control.

The Joiners in the city and the second in Bristol were purchased under the community ownership scheme, which is supported by a national body and supporters who purchase "stakes" in the venues.
